The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the May/June 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) today, Monday, August 12, 2024.
The results will be announced by the Head of the National Office, Dr. Amos Dangut, at the WAEC headquarters in Yaba.
This comes 45 days after the last paper was conducted, in line with WAEC’s tradition. Out of 1.8 million students who sat for the exam, 902,328 (49.73%) are males and 912,016 (50.27%) are females.
The students were examined in 76 subjects which was made up of 197 papers, with 30,000 secondary school teachers supervising the examination.
The results will be released along with digital copies of candidates certificates, accessible on the digital certificate platform.
This timely release will benefit many candidates hoping to gain admission during the current admission process, as some institutions have already started the admission process with dates for the Post-UTME screening/test.
