The Nigerian women’s basketball team, D’Tigress had an impressive run and with each game they advanced in skills and confidence at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

D’Tigress has made history at the Paris 2024 Olympics with several groundbreaking achievements. They became the only African team to qualify for the tournament, showcasing their talent and determination on the global stage.

In their first game, they stunned the basketball world by defeating the No. 3 ranked Australia. This victory set the tone for their impressive run, which continued with a win against the No. 5 ranked Canada, securing their place in the knockout stages.

The Nigerian basketball team also made history as the first African team to ever play in an Olympic quarterfinal, which shows the growth and potential of African basketball.

Despite their loss in the quarter finals on Wednesday with a 88-74 quarter finals loss to the United States,they achieved the best ever finish by an African team in Olympic basketball.
