Hunger Protest: Kaduna Roads Deserted as Protesters Take to the Streets

The typically bustling roads in Kaduna are eerily empty and deserted as protesters gather to express their discontent with the poor living conditions in the state.

The Central Business District, usually teeming with activity, is particularly affected, with the popular Ahmadu Bello Way devoid of its usual vehicular and human traffic.

Public transportation systems are operating at reduced capacity, as many commuters opt to stay indoors due to fear of potential unrest.

Shops and businesses in areas such as Junction Road, Ahmadu Bello Way, Sabon Tasha, Kawo, and Mando have closed their doors as a precautionary measure, with traders and vendors choosing to stay away from markets and trading centers to ensure their safety and protect their goods and properties.

Security personnel have been deployed to strategic locations and identified flashpoints to maintain order and protect citizens and protesters alike.

The protests, which aim to draw attention to the poor living conditions in the state, have brought economic activity to a standstill, with many residents opting to stay indoors until the situation is resolved.
