Oba Owolabi Olakulehin Crowned 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland

In a historic ceremony held at the Labosinde compound in Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin was crowned the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including former Oyo State Governor Rashidi Ladoja, the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Sultan of Sokoto Sa’ad Abubakar, and former Senate Leader Teslim Folarin.

The Labosinde compound, which is the ancestral home of the Olubadan dynasty, was filled with excitement and pageantry as the traditional rites of ascension were performed. Oba Olakulehin’s coronation marks a new chapter in the history of Ibadanland, and his reign is expected to bring prosperity and growth to the ancient city.

The ceremony was a culmination of centuries-old traditions and customs, and its significance was evident in the presence of esteemed guests from across the region. The new Olubadan’s ascension to the throne is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland and its people.
