As former Governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff mourns the demise of his mother, Hajiya Aisha, President Bola Tinubu has expressed his sympathy and condolences to the family.

It was reported that Hajiya Aisha passed away on Sunday in Abuja. She had battled with a protracted illness before her demise at the age of 93.

The president sympathized with the family of Modu Sheriff in a statement on Monday issued by his Special Adviser of Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

He advised the Sheriff’s family to find solace in the fact that the deceased transitioned at the revered age of 93 after leading an impeccable life marked by strong morals.

“The president prays that Allah grants the departed Aljannat Firdausi and comfort to her family,” Ngelale said.

According to Punch, she will be buried on Monday at the family residence of the late Galadima Modu Sheriff along Damboa Road in Maiduguri, the State’s capital.
