The forthcoming Wednesday, June 12 has been designated by the Federal Government as a public holiday to commemorate this year’s Democracy Day.Expressing felicitations, Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued on Tuesday by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Aishetu Ndayako, congratulated Nigerians on this occasion. Encouraging reflection, the statement emphasized the significance of honoring the endeavors of Nigeria’s founding fathers, while advocating for the nation’s unity, security, and indivisibility.

In a call for commitment to democratic principles, the Minister urged Nigerians to remain resolute. Highlighting President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to implementing positive reforms for economic revitalization and enhanced security, Tunji-Ojo reiterated the government’s focus on progress and unity.

Concluding the statement, the Minister urged both Nigerians and friends of the nation to acknowledge the strides made and to anticipate a brighter future for Nigeria’s democracy.
