The National Examinations Council (NECO) has confirmed that the deadline for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination Internal Registration remains unchanged. NECO issued a statement on Thursday urging stakeholders to disregard social media posts claiming an extension of the registration period until Monday, June 20, 2024.

According to NECO, the registration, which commenced on December 18, 2023, will close on June 3, 2024. Late registration, incurring an additional fee, will be accepted from June 4 to June 10, 2024. NECO emphasized the importance of candidates, school principals, commandants, state ministries of education, and other stakeholders ignoring any social media claims suggesting an extension beyond the specified deadline.

Additionally, NECO revealed that the 2024 SSCE internal examinations are scheduled to begin on June 19, 2024, and conclude on July 26, 2024. Throughout this examination period, candidates will be assessed in 76 subjects, covering a wide range of academic disciplines and topics. It is essential for all concerned parties to adhere to the official deadlines and guidelines provided by NECO to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.
