In a shocking turn of events, the manager of Hotel Royal Damgrete Umuahia was said to have been murdered today, 12th April 2024 during investigation process by some members of the Nigerian Army. This allegation has however been denied by the Army Authority, calling for further investigation. Mr Achimugu James Etubi worked in the food and beverage department of the Hotel Royal Damgrete Umahia, and was the manager of the department until he was brutally murdered.
Other sources said the situation that lead to his demise started few days ago when a cadet officer from the Nigerian Air Force Tarmac Four came into the Hotel Royal Damgrete Umuahia to swim and have fun with his friends drowned while swimming, The Nigerian Air Force Tarmac Four cadet was identified as Cadet Chidiebere. The death of the cadet officer drew the attention of the state police and it drove them into investigation.
At the process of investigating the death of the cadet officer, four persons were taken to the station for further investigations, Mr. James Etubi inclusive. They were detained for a night and were released on bail. But few days later, the military officers were said to have invited four persons including Mr James Etubi for further investigations.
At the process of investigating, Mr Achimugu James Etubi died in the process and his corpse was put in a tricycle alongside the three others who were still alive but seriously injured.
Mr James Etubi was just one week on the job and he was yet to receive his first salary before this tragic incidence claimed his life.
