Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has given his approval for the appointment of additional special advisers and other heads of government agencies. As stated in a press release on Tuesday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa, those selected include Prof. Ibrahim Barde, appointed as the Special Adviser for Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), Dr. Abdulhamid Danladi, who assumes the role of Special Adviser on Diaspora II, and Bello Kiru, designated as the Special Adviser on Water Resources. Additionally, Yusuf Shuaibu Imam (Ogan Boye) has been reappointed as the Special Adviser on Youths and Sports.
Furthermore, Dr. Nura Shanono, formerly serving as the Special Adviser for Water Resources, has been transferred to the position of Managing Director at the Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA). Similarly, Baba Umar, previously holding the position of Special Adviser, has been transitioned to the role of Executive Secretary at the Private and Voluntary Institutions Management Board.
Additionally, Nasir Muhammad has been appointed as the Director General of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Aminu Na’isa is set to serve as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) at the Kano Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA), and Mukhtar Yusuf will assume the role of Deputy Managing Director (DMD) at the Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA).
These appointments will take effect immediately.
