Feyenoord Rotterdam has officially announced Robin van Persie as the club’s new head coach, ushering in a fresh era for the Eredivisie giants.

“The journey continues. Robin van Persie, welcome home once again,” the club declared in a statement released on Sunday.

Renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano disclosed that the former Dutch international and Feyenoord icon has signed a contract that will see him lead the team until June 2027.

Van Persie, who had an illustrious playing career with clubs such as Feyenoord, Arsenal, and Manchester United, now steps into management at De Kuip, taking on an exciting new challenge in his footballing career.

Romano first broke the news last Friday through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), revealing that René Hake would be part of Van Persie’s coaching team.

“Robin van Persie will officially sign today as Feyenoord’s head coach on a deal running until June 2027. Former Erik ten Hag assistant René Hake will also join his coaching staff,” Romano shared.

Hake, who previously worked alongside Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, brings a wealth of coaching experience and will play a crucial role in Van Persie’s backroom team.
