The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has formally announced the schedule and locations for the Super Eagles’ concluding Group D matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. According to The PUNCH, the games will be held against Rwanda and Benin, with dates set for November 14 and 18 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

On November 14, the Super Eagles are set to play their fifth Group D match against Benin at Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan, starting at 8 PM Nigerian time (7 PM Ivorian time).

The game will be overseen by Senegalese referee Issa Sy, joined by assistant referees Djibril Camara and Nouha Bangoura, while El Hadji Amadou Sy will serve as the fourth official. Match commissioner duties will be handled by Rene Williams Sere of Ivory Coast, with Angolan Inacio Manuel Candido appointed as the referee assessor.

For the final qualifier, the Super Eagles will face Rwanda on Monday, November 18, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, with kickoff scheduled for 5 PM Nigerian time.

Moroccan referee Samir Guezzaz will officiate the game, with assistants Zakaria Brinsi and Abdessamad Abertoune. The fourth official will be Kech Chaf Mustapha, while Ghanaian Prosper Harrison Addo is the match commissioner, and Somalia’s Ali Mohamed Ahmed will act as referee assessor.

The Super Eagles lead Group D with 10 points from four matches, putting them four points ahead of Benin, who sits in second place. Rwanda follows with five points, while Libya has only one point and is eliminated from qualification. A draw or victory against Benin will confirm Nigeria’s qualification for the finals in Morocco, slated for December 2025 to January 2026.

The team’s last encounter in Libya ended in a boycott after they faced harsh conditions, including a diverted flight and being detained for nearly 20 hours at the Al-Abraq airport near Benghazi. Held without food, water, or internet access, the team ultimately refused to play.
