The Trade Modernisation Project recently contributed a custom-built 250KVA generator and a bus to the Nigeria Customs Service. In a statement, TMP highlighted that Saleh Ahmadu, the Chairman, formally presented these assets to Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of Customs, in Abuja. Adeniyi expressed gratitude on behalf of the service for TMP’s generous donation.

He emphasized the critical role of such equipment in advancing the customs modernization agenda, noting that technological tools like computers require supportive infrastructure and human expertise to achieve meaningful impact.

Adeniyi underscored the importance of enhancing the working environment and welfare of officers, praising TMP for their consistent support in these areas. He affirmed TMP’s reliability as a strategic partner in driving modernization within the NCS, foreseeing that the newly acquired assets would significantly enhance operational efficiency.

Adeniyi also encouraged officers undergoing TMP-sponsored training to diligently acquire the necessary skills for future management roles.

Meanwhile, TMP’s chairman explained that the bus would facilitate seamless personnel movement between headquarters and their office, while the generator aimed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to NCS management facilities.

This collaborative effort underscores TMP’s commitment to bolstering the operational capabilities and infrastructure of the Customs Service.
