Adeyemi has finally appeared before a court for arraignment over the alleged fake agency scandal, following developments in the case.
Adeniyi Adeyemi is facing an eight-count charge involving alleged conspiracy, forgery and impersonation over his claim to head the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), an organisation the Presidency has disowned.
The case was filed in November 2025, with Adeyemi accused alongside two other individuals, identified as Femi and Anu, who are reportedly still at large. The prosecution alleges that the defendants were involved in producing and using forged official documents, including a purported presidential appointment letter and other correspondence.
Adeyemi’s appearance follows several delays in the proceedings, including previous adjournments linked to his absence from court. In July, the Federal High Court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest after he failed to attend a scheduled arraignment.
The court had earlier been told by his defence counsel that Adeyemi feared for his life and had written an open letter to President Bola Tinubu concerning his safety.
The latest court appearance marks another development in the case, which has attracted attention over allegations of impersonation, forged government documents and the operation of an organisation the Presidency says was never established.
