President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, for the second leg of his three-week annual leave in Europe.

The President was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke, upon his arrival in the French capital on Sunday, according to officials close to the President.

Tinubu had departed Abuja on August 30, 2026, for the three-week vacation, with London as his first destination before proceeding to Paris.

The President is expected to return to Abuja after the holiday and join preparations for the January 2027 general election.

His vacation began shortly after the release of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council list, which named Tinubu as chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman.

Paris has remained one of Tinubu’s most frequently visited foreign destinations since he assumed office in May 2023.

According to a tally of his foreign engagements, Tinubu has visited at least 30 countries on 51 trips since becoming president, spending more than 270 days outside Nigeria.

He has also made several visits to Paris, where he has spent more than 50 days across official, working and private trips.
