Three Permanent Secretaries have been invited, alongside two suspects arrested to be questioned by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission on an alleged fraud involving selling job forms at the Office of the Head of Service.

Muhuyi Rimin-Gado, the commission’s chairman, informed the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano on Wednesday that an investigation was underway to find and prosecute the scammers.

The deception has already impacted thousands of desperate job searchers, he claimed.

According to Rimin-Gado, “Preliminary investigations have uncovered fraudulent activities at the office of the Head of Service, Civil Service Commission, Kano State Secondary Schools Board, and Health Service Management Board.

“The two suspects in custody are cooperating with the investigation, which has led to the shutdown of a fake employment portal.

“The commission is working to root out corruption and ensure justice is served in the employment fraud scandal that has defrauded thousands of job seekers”.

He claimed that the current investigation aims to identify and prosecute people in charge of the fraudulent sale of job forms.

Rimin-Gado noted that “the commission is working to prevent corruption and ensure justice is served. He added that the state government has mandated the commission to investigate the matter and prosecute those found wanting thoroughly”.
