Final Year Student of Akwa Ibom State Poly Reported Dead

Tragedy struck the school community of Akwa Ibom state polytechnic as one of their student’s life was cut short.
Savior who is a final year student of Electrical Electronics Department, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Ikot Osurua in Ikot Ekpene local government area of the state, has been killed by armed robbers.

It was revealed that the sad incident occurred on Saturday at around 8 pm at Ikot Uboh in Ikot Ekpene LGA, close to the student’s former residence. He was shot while dragging his phone with armed robbers. It was also reported that the armed robbers opened fire on their victim as he tried to raise the alarm.

The Akwa Ibom State Police command also confirmed the incident Sunday evening and they assured that they are already doing their best to ensure they expose those involved in the incident.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Timfon John also confirmed the incident and stated that the police are working tirelessly to ensure the culprits face the full weight of the law.

She said,“The perpetrators will be apprehended and made to face the full weight of the law. It is the determination of CP Waheed Ayilara to rid Akwa Ibom State of criminal elements. And this is not negotiable.”
