Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin has named Nigerian boxer Efe Ajagba as one of the opponents he is eager to face following his move to Zuffa Boxing, raising the possibility of a showdown between both fighters under the same promotion.
The 35-year-old recently joined Zuffa alongside Edgar Berlanga and IBF junior welterweight champion Richardson Hitchins. Shortly after signing, Wallin made it clear that he wants regular fights against top-level opponents as he looks to push his career forward.
Speaking with The Ring, Wallin said he believes Zuffa can keep him active because of the number of events they organise, adding that he is prepared to face any contender available.
He specifically mentioned Ajagba as a fighter he has wanted to meet in the ring for a long time and expressed hope that the bout could finally happen soon.
Ajagba enjoyed a strong start to life under Zuffa in February when he stopped former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin in Las Vegas. The Nigerian powerhouse secured victory in the fourth round to improve his professional record to 21 wins, one defeat and one draw, including 15 knockouts.
The bout saw Ajagba floor Martin with a powerful right hand in the third round before completing the stoppage early in the fourth round.
