Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has revealed that he is looking forward to another encounter with the Super Eagles after confirming he will join Poland’s next international camp ahead of their friendly clash with Nigeria.
Although Poland missed out on qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the experienced forward has made it clear that he is not stepping away from international duty anytime soon. Lewandowski has already informed the national team coaches that he will be available for the upcoming matches.
Reports from Gol24 indicate that Poland head coach Jan Urban is expected to release his squad list for the friendly games against Ukraine and Nigeria on May 26, just before the team begins preparations for the fixtures.
Speaking about the upcoming camp, Lewandowski said he fully intends to be part of it and explained that his decision was partly motivated by circumstances surrounding former coach Jacek Magiera.
“As for the June training camp, I’ll definitely be there,” Lewandowski said in comments shared by Eleven Sports.
“Because of the situation involving Jacek Magiera, this camp could feel a little different.”
