Newly appointed Zimbabwe head coach Kaitano Tembo has unveiled a 23-man squad for the upcoming Unity Cup invitational set to take place in London from May 26 to May 30.

The Zimbabwe Football Association confirmed the selection on Monday, with Tembo blending experienced internationals and promising young players. The squad draws talent from clubs in England, Scotland, France, South Africa, and other leagues across the world.

The tournament will feature four nations: Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, and India.

One of the standout inclusions is France-based midfielder Marshall Munetsi, who returns to national team duty after missing the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The 29-year-old, currently in strong form with Paris FC, had been left out of the AFCON squad due to an injury concern under the previous coach Mario Marinica.

Also back in the setup are Italy-based defender Jordan Zemura, who last played for the Warriors in November, and forward Tino Kadewere.

The goalkeeping department includes Marley Tavaziva of Brentford, Future Sibanda of ZPC Kariba, and Elvis Chipezeze of Magesi FC.

In defence, Tembo has called up Munashe Garananga (Hibernian), Corbin Mthunzi (Ipswich Town), Shane Maroodza (FK Sarajevo), Gerald Takwara (Al-Ittihad Misurata), Divine Lunga (Mamelodi Sundowns), Emmanuel Jalai (Durban City), and Sean Fusire (Sheffield Wednesday).

The midfield group features Mongameli Tshuma of Highlanders, Marvelous Nakamba of Sheffield Wednesday, Aboubacar Moffat, Jonah Fabisch of Erzgebirge Aue, and Tawanda Chirewa of Barnsley.

In attack, Zimbabwe will rely on Tawanda Maswanhise (Motherwell), Prince Dube (Young Africans), Junior Zindoga (TS Galaxy), Bill Antonio (KV Mechelen), and Daniel Msendami (Orlando Pirates).

Zimbabwe are set to meet defending champions Nigeria in the semi-final on May 26 at The Valley in South London, while Jamaica will battle India in the other semi-final a day later. The winners will face off in the final on May 30.
