Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki are currently holding a closed-door meeting in Abuja, in what appears to be a significant political consultation ahead of future developments in the country’s political landscape.

Those present at the meeting include the National Chairman of the ADC, Senator David Mark; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; and the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the last general election, Peter Obi.

Other prominent figures at the meeting are former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal; former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi; and Senator Aminu Tambuwal, among others.

On the side of the PDP faction, attendees include Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde; factional National Chairman, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki; Professor Jerry Gana; former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara; and former Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu. Members of the PDP National Working Committee aligned with the faction are also present.

Details of the meeting remain undisclosed as discussions are being held behind closed doors. However, the gathering of key political stakeholders across party lines has fueled speculation about possible alliances, realignments, and strategies ahead of upcoming political activities.

As of the time of filing this report, no official statement has been issued by any of the participants regarding the outcome of the meeting.
