Chelsea have officially announced Liam Rosenior as their new head coach, handing the former Hull City and Strasbourg boss the biggest job of his managerial career.

The 41-year-old takes over at Stamford Bridge following the club’s decision to move on from their previous manager, with Chelsea’s hierarchy convinced Rosenior is the right man to lead their long-term project. He is understood to have agreed to a multi-year deal as the club looks to build stability and a clear football identity.

Rosenior arrives with a growing reputation for progressive football and strong man-management. His recent work in France earned praise for improving performances and instilling discipline within the squad, qualities Chelsea believe will help steady a team packed with young talent.

Speaking after his appointment, Rosenior described the role as a huge honour and expressed excitement about working with the players and supporters. He stressed his desire to develop a competitive team capable of challenging at the highest level.

Chelsea fans will now be eager to see how quickly the new coach can make his mark, with Rosenior expected to take charge of training immediately ahead of the club’s next fixtures.
