Grandis Unveils Luxury Flats

The Grandis 5-Star Luxury Apartment & Suites, a high-rise residential development planned for Victoria Island, Lagos, is drawing strong praise from real estate and construction professionals for its focus on global safety and quality assurance standards. Although actual construction is yet to begin, the project’s blueprint has already generated significant interest within architectural and property development circles.

According to the developers, every stage of the project   from design to eventual construction and long-term maintenance   will be guided by internationally recognized safety and quality protocols. Industry experts view this as a refreshing departure from common practices in Nigeria’s real estate sector, where concerns about building standards and safety lapses have become frequent.

Hotelier Emmanuel Ajayi applauded the initiative, noting that the project’s emphasis on durability and compliance with global standards is “a welcome development” for the local property market. He emphasized that strict oversight and accountability measures have been built into the process. To achieve this, Dumarco Construction Limited, the project’s developer, has deliberately separated the roles of developer, contractor, and consultant, ensuring independent supervision throughout the building’s lifecycle.

The development, which will feature 17 floors overlooking Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island, and Ikoyi, is being spearheaded by Dumarco, a company with decades of experience in the oil and gas industry  a sector known for stringent safety and operational standards. Dumarco’s General Manager, Adejuwon Ademola, explained that the same “zero-tolerance approach” applied in oil and gas is being extended to this property project. “There is no room for compromise in the oil and gas industry. We are applying that same discipline to Grandis. It is designed not just for luxury, but for peace of mind,” he said.

To deliver on this vision, Dumarco has partnered with some of the biggest names in the construction industry. The project team includes Julius Berger, Cappa & D’Alberto, Elalan, MC&T (Migliore Construzione & Tecniche) in collaboration with Dubai’s VICC, and Business Contracting Limited. They will be supported by renowned consultants such as Morgan Omanitan & Abe, Lambert, and James Cubitt.

The Grandis project promises to integrate advanced features rarely seen in Nigeria’s residential developments. Plans include reinforced structural designs, sophisticated fire prevention systems, smart-home automation, and 24-hour surveillance. In addition, residents will benefit from discreet, highly trained staff and amenities tailored to balance privacy with modern comfort.

Ademola stressed that the ultimate goal is to set a new benchmark in Nigeria’s luxury property sector. “We designed Grandis for people who want everything  security, sophistication, and the assurance that their home will look and perform as well in 20 years as it does on day one,” he said.

Industry observers believe the Grandis project could help restore investor and buyer confidence in Nigeria’s real estate sector, which has been plagued by concerns over safety standards and substandard construction. By importing strict protocols from the oil and gas industry into high-rise residential development, Grandis is positioning itself not only as a symbol of luxury but also as a model of reliability and trust.
