Nigeria’s top economic regulators and leading private sector figures are throwing their weight behind a major new media project aimed at reshaping the country’s global image and spotlighting reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Titled A New Nigeria Is Here (ANNIH) Season 2, the initiative is produced by Lead Projects Africa and will air from August 12 across major TV networks including Channels Network, News Central Africa, CNN, CNBC Africa, AIT, TVC, and Arise News. It will also stream worldwide on YouTube.

Among the key partners are the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Bank of Industry (BOI), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and Sahara Energy. The campaign, described as more than just a documentary, is positioned as a cinematic journey into Nigeria’s economic transformation and growth drivers under the government’s Renewed Hope agenda.

Project Coordinator Jide Peters explained that the seriese ndorsed by the Presidency, the Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris Malagi, and overseen by the Coordinating Minister of the Economy’s office seeks to present Nigeria as a hub of innovation and economic power. He said the episodes will explore what he called the nation’s “Fennaissance,” a period of financial and economic revival driven by fiscal reforms, infrastructure expansion, and digital advancements.

Each 30-minute episode is expected to reach up to 300 million viewers globally, delivering a compelling narrative of Nigeria’s transformation journey.

The campaign has drawn strong endorsements from both public and private leaders. Innoson Group Chairman, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, emphasized the importance of supporting local industries, stating that buying made-in-Nigeria products is key to national progress. BOI Managing Director Dr. Olasupo Olusi voiced optimism for a future where every young Nigerian believes in the country’s potential.

Information Minister Malagi described the project as “an investment in the future of our children and grandchildren,” while FIRS Chairman Dr. Zacch Adedeji called for collective effort to realize the President’s goal of eradicating poverty.

The documentary will feature high-profile government figures such as Wale Edun, Coordinating Minister of the Economy; Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives; Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Power; Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth Development; Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development; and Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of Sports Development.

Also featured are prominent private sector leaders including Flutterwave CEO Olugbenga Agboola, Felicity Solar CEO Samuel Chen, Alami Capital CEO Olu Olufemi-White, Sahara Group Managing Director Kola Adesina, Interswitch Group CEO Mitchell Elegbe, and SUNU Assurances Nigeria CEO Samuel Ogbodo.
