“Witchcraft Is Everywhere” — Juliana Olayode

Nollywood actress and outspoken Christian advocate Juliana Olayode, popularly known as Toyo Baby from the TV series Jenifa’s Diary, has raised alarm over what she described as the increasing visibility and subtle spread of witchcraft in everyday life.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, accompanied by a lengthy caption, Olayode recounted a chilling personal experience where she believes she was almost initiated into witchcraft—unintentionally.

She explained that she was casually browsing her phone when she came across an ad that read, “Have you ever broken a bone before?” Out of curiosity, she clicked the link, but was immediately overcome with a deeply unsettling feeling. The uneasiness prompted her to close the site instantly. Reflecting on the moment, she said she couldn’t explain why she clicked the link and warned that such experiences could be spiritually dangerous.

According to Olayode, many people may have unknowingly been initiated into witchcraft simply through the content they consume or the places they visit. She emphasized that witchcraft is no longer hidden, but now operates openly and is often disguised as entertainment or spirituality.

“Witchcraft is everywhere these days,” she wrote. “They’re not hiding anymore or waiting for midnight to fly. They’re operating 24/7, and it often appears attractive or harmless.”

She cautioned her followers to be vigilant about the kinds of movies, music, books, churches, and spiritual gatherings they participate in, warning that such exposure could open the door to dark spiritual forces.

“Not everything that looks good is good,” she warned. “Just because someone reveals details about your life doesn’t mean it comes from the right spirit. Remember Acts 16:16-18?”

Olayode added that some people may be experiencing spiritual disturbances—like nightmares, anxiety, fear, or the sense of a strange presence—because they unknowingly gave certain spirits access through seemingly innocent activities.

“People are being tricked into burning incense or engaging in rituals to ‘clear negative energy,’ but these are traps,” she stated. “You need to guard your gates—the gates to your soul. Be prayerful, be discerning.”

She ended with a heartfelt call for people to seek a deeper relationship with God, stressing the importance of being born again and spiritually alert.

“The enemy is not sleeping,” she said. “Now more than ever, we must be careful, prayerful, and stay grounded in Christ.”
