Air Peace Expands Fleet with Embraer 190

Air Peace has expanded its fleet with the arrival of its inaugural Embraer 190 aircraft, enhancing its regional service capacity. A second jet of the same model is scheduled to be delivered by July 2025.

The recently acquired 118-seat aircraft, bearing the registration number 5N-CEF, landed at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Sunday, marking a significant milestone for the airline.

This delivery represents the first time the Embraer 190 will be joining Air Peace’s lineup, as the carrier seeks to broaden its presence within Nigeria and the West African corridor.

In an official statement shared with the press, airline representative Osifo-Whiskey Efe emphasized the value the new aircraft brings to the company’s expanding operational strategy.

“This aircraft type brings a new dimension to our service offerings. It is designed for efficiency, eco-friendly installations, and passenger comfort, such as a 2-2 seating layout and a quiet and spacious cabin, making it the ideal fit for many of our routes.”

According to Efe, the addition of the Embraer 190 allows the airline to boost intercity connections and reach markets that have long lacked sufficient air services.

“It enables us to connect more cities seamlessly and serve underserved destinations with the right capacity,” he noted.

He further emphasized Air Peace’s ongoing commitment to transforming Nigeria’s air transport sector by steadily upgrading its aircraft and route offerings.

He said, “With a fleet of over 30 aircraft, Air Peace has remained at the forefront of West Africa’s aviation space.

“As of May 2025, the airline recorded an average on-time performance of 85 per cent across its domestic network, a testament to its operational reliability and service delivery promise.”
