The battle for places in the FIFA World Cup heats up as African nations continue their qualification campaigns with key matches scheduled for Friday. Teams across different groups will be fighting to secure crucial points in their quest for a spot at the global tournament.

In Group A, Burkina Faso is set to clash with Djibouti at 17:00, while Ethiopia prepares for a decisive showdown against Egypt at 22:00, a match that could shape the group’s standings.

Over in Group B, DR Congo will lock horns with South Sudan at 17:00, aiming to strengthen their position in the qualifiers.

Group C sees Nigeria facing a must-win encounter against Rwanda at 17:00, as they seek to reignite their World Cup hopes. At the same time, South Africa will take on Lesotho, looking to make the most of playing on home soil.

The action in Group E features a late-night battle between Niger and Morocco at 22:30, with the North African giants heading into the game as strong favorites.

In Group F, a highly anticipated fixture between Burundi and Ivory Coast will unfold at 20:00, as both teams strive for crucial points.

Meanwhile, Group G will kick off early with Botswana hosting Algeria at 14:00, followed by Guinea’s encounter with Somalia at 22:00.

Group H opens with Equatorial Guinea taking on Sao Tome and Principe at 14:00 in what promises to be an intriguing contest.

Finally, in Group I, Ghana will lock horns with Chad at 20:00, as the Black Stars aim to maintain their momentum in the race for a World Cup berth.
