Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky has taken legal action against online critic VeryDarkMan, seeking N1 billion in damages for alleged defamation and blackmail.
In a letter shared on Instagram, Bobrisky’s lawyers claimed VDM used artificial intelligence to generate a fake audio call defaming the crossdresser. They also accused VDM of blackmail and using Bobrisky’s name for personal gain.
The letter demanded an apology within 24 hours and N1 billion in damages. VDM had previously accused Bobrisky of making false claims about his relationships with top officials, including DIGs of the Nigerian police, lawmakers, and senators, without providing proof.
